Key information

We're going on a bug hunt!

Pick up your explorer kit and head off to find as many creepy-crawlies as you can. Learn ID skills to help identify the insects you find and make a note of what you see so we can tally up at the end of the day. Bring a picnic, have your face painted and join in with our nature crafts.

Included in your ticket, throughout the day there will be...

  • Bug hunting using spotter sheets
  • Have your face painted
  • Fun with nature crafts
  • See the sun through a special telescope with the Edenbridge and District Astronomers (do not try this at home!!!)
  • Bring a picnic to enjoy

Adults are welcome to download the Bore Place Citizen Science app to log your findings and contribute to our farmwide species dataset which will be used to inform our 10-year farm management plan. If you're interested in taking part in this, we'll help you get set up on the app when you arrive.
