The Bore Place farm gates are opening for a special open day...
The farm gates are opening for a special afternoon! Bring your friends and family and celebrate all things food, farming and nature.
Throughout the afternoon
- Delicious BBQ, and local Larkins ale
- Explore our organic farm and market garden and learn about our regenerative approach to farming
- Visit our new calves!
- Music from Edenbridge based choir, A Capella, and local folk musicians
- Children's activities - become a citizen scientist and have a go at a butterfly or bird survey, ride the 'hobby cows' and play garden games
- Toast a marshmallow over the campfire at Free Range Glamping
You'll also have the chance to meet our producers. Visit Blackwoods Cheese Company, who make wonderful award winning cheeses; sample delicious fermented dairy products with Happy Belly Foods, and visit Metske van der Laan to talk about organic veg growing.
You can now buy fresh milk from the Farm Gate vending machine (bring a bottle or buy a reusable one here) as well as ice creams, cheeses and other produce. The Farm Gate provides food for our local community to buy, as well as valuable work experience for young people attending projects at Bore Place who help to keep it stocked - all profits made are fed back into our education programmes.
